75th Anniversary of the Canonization of Saint Anthony Mary Claret

Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Canonization of Saint Anthony Mary Claret

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, we joyfully celebrate the 75th anniversary of the canonization of Saint Anthony Mary Claret, founder of the Claretian Congregation in Spain in 1849. St. Claret envisioned a world transformed by the love and teachings of Christ, and he dedicated himself to spreading that message. To him, prayer and faith were never passive.

On this 75th anniversary of his canonization, we give thanks for the gift of his missionary spirit, and we renew our own commitment to the call to holiness.

We invite you explore our prayer guide developed for this special day. Available in English, Spanish, and French, the guide offers a beautiful structure for personal or community prayer, including hymns, readings, reflections, and intercessions all inspired by the spirituality of St. Claret. Additionally, on this day, we also celebrate the Day of the Claretian Family.

All the resources can be found on the Fussimanya APP and are also available on the Congregation’s website.

St. Claret once famously said, “I can’t bear seeing misfortune or misery without doing something to help.” In a world where people long for purpose, St. Claret stands as a reminder that each of us has a calling, a fire in our hearts waiting to be ignited.
