The Claretian Missionaries USA-Canada Province is part of a global Roman Catholic congregation of priests and brothers who seek to proclaim the Gospel message of faith, hope, and love. Afire with God’s love, we tend to the religious and pastoral needs of vulnerable communities. Together, we strive to uncover sustainable solutions that transform lives.
.
As Claretians, we live and preach the Word of God in the context of everyday life. Our pastoral care is far-reaching, including hospitals, jails, maritime communities, and refugee centers. Our dynamic parishes, schools, and missions accompany individuals and families as they journey with God. In the spirit of a shared mission and common values, we work alongside community leaders, laywomen and men, young adults, and students.
.
The Claretian Missionaries were founded by St Anthony Mary Claret in 1849 in Spain. The Claretians first came to the United States in 1902 and began ministering to Mexican immigrants in California, Texas, Arizona, and Illinois. In 1953, the Claretians established a presence in Quebec, Canada.
The Claretians now serve in 72 countries on six continents.
.
Centered in Christ, Claretians strive for a more holy, compassionate, and just world.
Join us in restoring hope.
